With the collaboration and support of the General Directorate of Fine Arts, the production of the Otro Teatro group, under the coordination of Karina Valdez and the general direction of the International Center for Spontaneous Theatrical Studies of Colombia, under the direction of the renowned Colombian master Gigio Giraldo.
A diverse group of experienced teachers specializing in the technique, from Argentina, Spain, Mexico, USA and Colombia, will be in charge of guiding the students on a journey of absolute immersion during more than 120 hours of class.
The emphasis for the Dominican Republic will be Improv in action: from impulse to stage: It is about the journey that goes from the spontaneous organic impulse to the stage creation, a process where the body improvises, the consciousness organizes and the stage communicates, transforming the improvised action into a stage story, into a comprehensible, emotional and image-rich structure.
It is not about imposing a story, but about allowing the scene to unfold, transforming the spontaneous into a shared narrative experience.
